Ian Harvie Show Post Show Wrap Up August 2007
Last night’s show was amazing. It was sold out and with a waiting line out in front of the building to get in. When the show started it was standing room only. My good friend Dan Frederickson did a great job with a preshow/warming the crowd.
I went on and opened the show with a comedy set then introduced my gay partner in crime, Edison Apple. Edison expressed his distress about how the stockboy at work won’t text him back and his pill popping escapades.
Margaret came on and told us stories about how she made out with Lucas from The Cliks on the True Colors Tour – all in the name of gay rights [of course] and how she loves butches who roll their own tampons.
Jenny Shimizu shared out her passion for bikes and for her DOB [Dykes On Bikes] motorcycle gang. She also revealed some info about her butch on butch scenes in Dante’s Cove on the HERE network.
Jane Lynch chatted with us about going to the live political forum on the LOGO network and sitting next to Alec Mapa. She told us who she’s voting for.. you’ll have to watch the reel to find out. She been in LA for over 12 years and she let us in on a few of her favorite film projects and characters she’s played. She has also promised me to eat lobster with me sometime soon.
From the Last Comic Standing, Sabrina Matthews was in the house with some hilarious standup and told us about her love of scuba diving and the environment. She wants Al Gore and Oprah to run on the same ticket for the Oval Office.
Garrison Starr rocked the house with a few of her flawlesslessly written songs from her upcoming album titled The Girl Who Killed September. Check her out on iTunes.
Then I finally closed the show with my Trannie Questions segment. We had some great questions from the audience and I tried answering them all.
Thank you to all my wonderful guests!
It was an amazing show and don’t worry, we filmed it! We will be posting clips within the next couple weeks online for your viewing pleasure.
Until then, please enjoy the amazing photos that my friend Diana Yanez took from the show last night. They are in my photos section of my MySpace account. Check em out and let me know what you think!
And finally a shout out to Flanigan and Michael and the crew at Largo for the wonderful space. Another shout out to my amazing production crew, Bob Porier [Director], Mikael Kreuzriegler [Director of Photography], Mahlia Carey [Associate Producer & Set Design], Tim Oliver [Camera & Tech], Dan Frederickson [Tech]
Thank you everyone who came to the show and those who came and couldn’t get in! You are amazing! I have so much gratitude for last night’s great show!
Love you, mean it!
