Ever Seen A Movie and Said “I Know! I Know!”
I just watched this movie called THE SECRET. You can watch it on-line for only $5. When I heard what it was about, it sounded like something that I kind of already knew/understood on some level. I know this may sound kind of silly, but if you watch it, which I’m pleading with you that you do, you’ll immediately understand why I am so urgent to pass this along.
It’s just a movie and about one and a half hours of your life that might change you completely or tap you into something you already knew about yourself that you don’t always acknowledge. If it’s something you already know, maybe this will help you acknowledge it more regularly. If it’s something you don’t believe in, maybe it will change you.. forever.
When the movie finished I thought, holy crap, who can I give this to? I wanted to buy so many people copies. I kept thinking, who can I pass this secret along to? So that’s why I’m blogging about it.
NO, I’m not selling Amway (what did they sell exactly anyway), and NO, I don’t get a cut of the sales.. I wish. NO, I haven’t converted to Scientology out here in LA either. It’s just a freaking movie.. Geeesh!
For me, I feel like someone made a movie about something I really already feel such a kin to. I mean I’m not perfect at it, but I DO THIS, often. I mean A LOT!
Most of you know, when I left New England last June, I said “so what I’m __ years old and going to LA to pursue a comedy career in Hollywood.” I have refused to say no to myself since I left. Plus, I promised myself when I left (and even before that) that I would I say YES TO EVERYTHING. Doing the next right thing, not knowing how I was going to make it all happen. Taking that leap and trusting that the wind will carry me. All of you know the things that have happened to me in the last several months and I’m living proof of the subject in this film.
MY PLEA: If you have ever thought things weren’t going your way or that you’ve been slighted/cheated or dealt a bad hand in life, etc. Maybe you even feel owed or that failure is eminent? WATCH THIS MOVIE, it will help. OR If you have ever thought everything will be alright, you’re going to be okay, no matter what – WATCH THIS MOVIE! Either way you will be changed. Either changed by hearing something you can relate to or changed because you can’t and it’s something new to try.
I’m blogging this because even if it’s through MySpace, we’re connected. Some of you I know well enough to tell you that I love you. If you love me and know me on some level, you will see some of me in this movie. Let me be proof that this film is absolutely true. I’m submitting this here for you, because no matter who you are I think you will see yourself in this movie.
I know, I know, I’m obsessed. Just watch it.
