My Old Friend Jessica

My Old Friend Jessica

Just a couple weekends ago I drove to Phoenix with my girlfriend to see friends for the weekend. I’ve been to Phoenix for a show at The Dodge but not to stay and see a little bit of the area. While we were there my friend Natalie, who we were visiting, asked me what ever happened to Jessica, a old friend from Maine that we knew about 18 years ago.

It was an intense time back then for everyone. We were all so young then and just developing our little souls and not one of us had any idea, what we all (individually), were about to take on. I told Natalie that I had no true idea what happened to Jessica, but I had heard various things over the years about her maybe living in Arizona somewhere, but that was it.

It was a sweet little weekend trip to the high desert and the temps were in the triple digits, like I like ’em! When I got back home to Los Angeles, about a week later I got a message on here (myspace) from another mutual friend of Jessica’s, named Crystal, who also had no real history for what happened to Jess either.

So, within a two-week period of time and of all these people channeling the energy of this old friend of ours, I got ANOTHER message on here from you guessed it, JESSICA!!! I know! Whaaaaat?!

It couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s as if Natalie asking that question: “Whatever happened to Jessica?”, and then Crystal’s correspondence with me online, and all of us collectively talking about her, the Universe aligned and BAM, there she was, making a shout out to us. Sooo very cool.

As it turns out, I got the update straight from Jessica. She lived in many places, Arizona being one of them. But what’s equally as cool as catching up with her geography (she now lives in Wisconsin) was hearing about she’s been doing. In short, my old friend Jess has seen it all! Like we all have, the hard times, the easier times and now she is following her heart and what gives her peace of heart, she’s an amazing artist.

She is completely self-taught and you NEED to see what she is creating with her partner, Mark Anderson, by clicking here:http://www.myspace.com/jessa1155 or http://jessa1155.deviantart.com or soon to be at: http://www.differentseasonsjewelry.com

She uses Dino Bone, Andamooka Opal, and Spectrolite to give you a hint. It’s some of the most beautifu stuff I’ve seen. Make her a friend on here and check out her art!

Also, you’ll notice in their photos that Mark, Jessica’s partner, has cool lizards too. I’m scared of them, the same way I am about snakes, but they’re cool jut the same.

You know what, if you want to find old friends, fuck classmates dot com or people finder or what have you.. all you have to do is talk to the Universe and then look on MySpace. Worked for me.

Love you, mean it!
XO – Ian

PS. Jessica is going to make me a piece of her art, and when I get it, I will post a photo of it on here for you all to see.. stay tuned
